We want you to get to know us a little bit better. Therefore we highlight some of the people working here at IMAS Group. Here is Shashikant Singh Tomar and he is the Director of India, Sri Lanka and Africa at IMAS Group. We hope you enjoy this interview and stay in touch for more interviews.
What do you do at IMAS, what is your role?
I am developing and executing the company’s business strategies in order to attain IMAS Group goals in the region by preparing and implementing comprehensive corporate and business plans. I am currently focussing on business development activities, marketing, establishing channel partners and integrators. I see a tremendous potential for the footfall traffic and analytics services in India, Sri Lanka and Africa.
My role is to lead the team in business development, negotiations, mentoring, training to establish IMAS Group brand on a long term perspective in the region and ensure that IMAS Group provides the range and quality of services.
What do you like about your work at IMAS?
Empowerment, the IMAS Group team let you choose, your unique way to complete the tasks and provide a great responsibility to lead the markets, “Your own way”.
The great encouraging working environment, where IMAS Group Team is always there to provide support, guidance and eagerness to explore new technologies. I enjoy the complete authority and support provided by the management to develop the India, Sri Lanka and Africa market. I like business development of new solutions and IMAS Group is providing this important opportunity.
Tell us something that you like to do outside your work life?
I like to be associated with my roots and Alma mater, support those who are in need by bringing the network together, this gives strength to the connected people and as sense of belongingness.
I love to spend time with family, friend on outdoor trips, as it keeps me active and lively. I believe in “Healthy body, Active mind” hence regularly jog, do functional and Yoga exercises. Mediation plays a very important role in keeping me focused.

I completed Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering degree in 2001, Army Institute of Technology, Pune and Masters in Business Administration management from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Pune in 2010. I have handled senior management positions with 20 years of experience including leadership roles across supply chain, sales, marketing, aftermarket, services, business development and operations. I have played key management roles in diverse markets such as Asian and African markets with exposure to the European market including conceptualizing and leading new business operations. Bring strategy and operations expertise in industry verticals like power generation, pumps, packaging, dairy, and mining.
